Revierderby Preview

The Bundesliga is back after a two month pause due to the coronavirus pandemic. Borussia Dortmund host arch rivals Schalke 04 in the Revierderby which is one of the biggest rivalries in football. BVB have won four games in a row whereas Schalke's last seven games have gone without a win. Schalke will definitely want to get back to winning ways and ruin Dortmund's chances of lifting the title.

On the wing BVB have Jadon Sancho and Achraf Hakimi who are quick as both players have done a combined 1,550 sprints. The English international has scored 14 goals and has 15 assists, as Hakimi has 10 assists and a 85% pass accuracy rate. And up front BVB have former Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Haland who has scored nine goals in eight games and has a rate of 57 minutes per goal. Dortmund have scoring machines, quick wingers, and experienced midfielders, however their biggest issue appears to be at the back as they have conceded 33 goals which is more than Wolfsburg and Freiburg who are mid table in the league.

Schalke are in 6th place with 37 points and are 12 points behind Monchengladbach who take the 4th place Champions League spot. This is a must win for Schalke if they want any chance of playing in the Champions League next season. This is definitely a perfect game to resume the season after two months without football.
