Although Arsenal's defence has struggled in the Premier League, it is the complete opposite in the League Cup, as the Gunners have only conceded two goals in five matches. Rob Holding has played a key role at the back as he has a 84% pass accuracy rate and has won 55% of the duels he has faced. New signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan made three assists in his Premier League debut against Everton two weeks as he could be a threat to Man City. In the middle the Gunners have Granit Xhaka, who scored the winning goal against London rivals Chelsea to send Arsenal to the EFL Cup Final.  The Swiss international has an 84% pass accuracy rate in the League Cup, and has played in every Arsenal match in the Premier League so far. And up front is former Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Aubameyang scored in his debut match against Everton, and he could be the man to win the League Cup for the Gunners.

Despite Man City completely controlling the Premier League, they have struggled to reach the EFL Cup Final, as they only knocked out Wolves and Leicester City on penalties. At the back Man City have John Stones and Kyle Walker who both have a combined total of an 85% pass accuracy rate. The player to watch for the Blues, is Kevin de Bruyne who is currently one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. Bruyne scored two crucial goals against Bristol City in the EFL semi finals, and has 14 assists in the Premier League. Up front Man City have Argentinian international Sergio Aguero who has 21 goals in the Premier League, and could pose a real threat to Arsenal's defence.
