Games to watch this weekend

Here are the games I recommend to watch this weekend. Enjoy :)

Napoli vs Inter Milan
Saturday: 21:45 CET (+3) - 20:45 local time, San Paolo, Naples

Top of the table Napoli prepare to take on 2nd place Inter Milan to fight for the top spot in Serie A. The visitors currently have 22 points and are two points below Napoli.

Despite Napoli struggling in the Champions League, they have won every match in the Serie A so far, and will want to keep their winning streak. Spanish keeper Jose Reina has been one of leagues best keepers and has four clean sheets out of eight matches. At the back Napoli have Kalidou Koulibaly and Raul Albiol who have been a major factor in why Napoli has been so solid. Koulibaly and Albiol have a combined total of 92.5% pass accuracy rate. In the middle, Napoli have Slovakian international Marek Hamsik who currently has a goal and an assist this season. He is the player that helps shift Napoli from defense to offense. Up front Napoli have striker trio Jose Callejon, Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne who have a combined total of 14 goals and eight assists.

Although Slovenian keeper Samir Handanovic may have lost his spot on the national team, he has been a key player for Inter Milan. Handanovic has had four clean sheets and only conceded five goals. Brazilian center back Miranda and Milan Skriniar have featured in every match and have a combined total of a 90.5% pass accuracy rate. The player to watch on Inter Milan is Ivan Perisic who has three goals, four assists and is currently one of the best midfielders in Serie A. Up front, Inter Milan have Argentinian international Mauro Icardi who has nine goals and has an 85% shot accuracy rate.

As both teams have solid defenders, world class midfielders and lethal forwards, the match could either be a thriller, or a defensive game. A win for either team would put them top of the league. A draw would keep Napoli at the top of Serie A.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool
Sunday: 18:00 CET (+3) - 16:00 local time, Wembley Stadium, London

After a impressive 1-1 draw over Real Madrid earlier this week, the Spurs are ready to take on Liverpool. Tottenham are currently in 3rd place with 17 points, meanwhile Liverpool are four points below in 8th place.

A main strength for the Spurs is their back line and French keeper Hugo Lloris. Lloris has five clean sheets out of eight matches. Belgian internationals Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen have given their opponents little opportunities to score as the Spurs have only conceded five goals. In the middle, Spurs have Dele Ali and Christian Eriksen. Dele Ali has been a promising youngster for England and has two goals and a assist. Christian Eriksen has scored three goals, has two assists and an 85% pass accuracy rate. Tottenham currently have one of the best strikers in the Premier League, Harry Kane. Kane has been lethal for England, and the Spurs as he has scored six goals in the Prem, and five goals in the Champions League.

The Reds will want to get back on track as they drew their last two matches against Newcastle and Manchester United. The main weakness for Liverpool is their defense, since they have conceded 12 goals, which is more then Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion. In the middle, Liverpool have Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can who have a combined total of 84.5% pass accuracy rate. The player to watch on Liverpool is Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho who has scored two goals in four matches in the Prem, and two goals in the Champions League. Despite Liverpool's main striker Sadio Mane being injured, look out for Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah who have two and four goals in the Prem respectively.

As the Spurs are five points behind Manchester City who are top of the league and the Reds haven't found their rhythm yet, this is a must win for Tottenham. If the Reds want to challenge for the title, they also need to win this match as they are currently nine points behind the top.

Olympique de Marseille vs Paris Saint Germain
Sunday: 22:00 CET (+3) - 21:00 local time, Stade Velodrome, Marseille

Ambitious Marseille are up for the challenge against PSG, who are undefeated this season in all competitions. Marseille are currently in 3rd place with 17 points and are two points below Monaco who have a Champions League spot. PSG are in 1st place with 25 points.

Despite Marseille losing their place as a Ligue 1 superpower, they are starting to make a comeback. At the back, Marseille have Portuguese defender Rolando and veteran Adil Rami who both have an 88.5% pass accuracy rate. However, Rolando and Rami will need to improve their back line as Marseille have conceded 15 goals, which is more than Amiens and Lille OSC who are just above the relegation zone. As Marseille like to play a 4-2-3-1 formation they have two solid defensive midfielders. Luiz Gustavo and Cameroonian international Andre Zambo Anguissa do the hard work for Marseille and both have a 89% pass accuracy rate. The player to watch is forward Clinton N'Jie who has five goals in Ligue 1 and an 82% shot accuracy rate.

Young French keeper Alphonse Areola has made a name for himself as he has five clean sheets in Ligue 1, and hasn't conceded a goal in the Champions League. Belgian international Thomas Meunier has also made a name for himself as he has scored three goals for PSG, five goals for Belgium and is currently one of the best right backs in Ligue 1. In the middle PSG have Adrien Rabiot who has an average of 100 touches per match and a 94% pass accuracy rate. Another good midfielder is Italian international Marco Verratti who is a play maker and has great dribbling skills. Up front PSG have one of the best striker trio's in the world. Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe have a combined total of 16 goals and 10 assists.

As their are currently a lot of question marks over this crucial Ligue 1 fixture, PSG seem unstoppable but have shown some weaknesses. If Marseille want to shock PSG, they cannot afford any mistakes and must improve their back line.
