Games to watch for Sunday's World Cup Qualifiers

Today there are only the European qualifying games as the other continents are taking a break. There are only three games left in the European qualifiers meaning that every team needs to step up and show their full potential now.

Europe

In the European qualifiers, there are 9 groups of six teams. 1st place in each group qualifies directly to the World Cup. 2nd place teams enter a playoff round against each other. The rest cannot qualify.

Group A: Netherlands vs Bulgaria
19:00 CET (+3) - 18:00 local time, Amsterdam Arena, Amsterdam

This is the last chance for the Netherlands to get 2nd place in the group since they lost to France 4-0 a few days ago. Because the Netherlands lost, they are now in 4th place with 3 points behind 2nd place Sweden. The Dutch will need experienced players such as Robben and Van Persie to lead the way and bring the Netherlands back to the glory days. Some other Dutch players to watch are Georginio Wijnaldum and Spartak forward Quincy Promes, despite them not being able to make an impact against France. Bulgaria are currently on fire as they just beat Sweden and will want to improve there winning record. A key player for Bulgaria will be Serie B player Ivaylo Chochev. He has been impressive so far and scored the winning goal against Sweden. Some more key players to Bulgaria's team are Ivelin Popov, and Maccabi Haifa midfielder Georgi Kostadinov. As Bulgaria are improving, their defense is their weakness. During the seven games Bulgaria had played, they have conceded 14 goals. The last encounter between the two sides, Bulgaria won at home 2-0 as Spas Delev scored the two goals. A win for the Netherlands would put them in 3rd place unless Sweden loses to Belarus. Anything else could ruin their chances of qualifying. Bulgaria is in a similar situation. Who do you think will win? Write your opinion in the comments below.

Group H: Greece vs Belgium
21:45 CET (+3), Georgios Karaiskais Stadium, Piraeus

The two current best teams in Group H, Greece and Belgium go head to head in what is expected to be a highly entertaining game. Hellas may be undefeated in the group, but they have had four draws in the last four games which has put them only two points ahead of Bosnia and six points behind Belgium. After Greece's embarrassing last pace finish in the Euro 2016 qualification, they have improved in every aspect of the game. Greece is solid in the back with Bundesliga duo Sokratis and Kyraikos Papadopoulos who have both had great starts in the Bundesliga. A player I recommend to watch on the Greek team is Marseille forward Kostas Mitroglou who is one of the best players on the team, and has scored three goals in the qualifiers. Belgium are in the driving seat of Group H as they have won six of there seven matches. The Red Devils have many talented players from the keeper to the striker. Eden Hazard who is a top class midfielder will lead the way for the Red Devils as he has quick pace, a great passer, and has an eye for goal. Kevin De Bruyne and Atletico Madrid midfielder Yannick Carrasco are also star players for the team. Up front, Belgium have one of the best strikers in the world, Romelu Lukaku. He has been doing wonders for Belgium and Manchester United as he has scored 9 goals in the qualifiers. For Greece, a win or a draw would keep them in 2nd place. For Belgium a win would book them a ticket to Russia.
