Games to watch for Monday's World Cup Qualifiers

As some countries have already made it to the World Cup, time is ticking for the countries trying to book their ticket to Russia next year.

Europe

In the European qualifiers, there are 9 groups of six teams. 1st place in each group qualifies directly to the World Cup. 2nd place teams enter a playoff round against each other. The rest cannot qualify.

Group F: England vs Slovakia
21:45 CET (+3) - 19:45 local time, Wembley Stadium, London

The Three Lions will be taking on Slovakia later in the evening. Despite England being only two points above Slovakia, the Three Lions have been driving Group F. Some key players from England are Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier who have been the best players in the qualifiers for England. Up front is 19 year old Marcus Rashford who has been instrumental for Manchester United. However, he is the only English striker who hasn't scored in the qualifiers. Harry Kane is a great player if he uses his full potential.

Slovakia have former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel at the back who is keeping Slovakia solid as a rock. Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar will need to help Skrtel to stop the English from scoring. Some other players to look out for are Albert Rusnak who plays in Real Salt Lake in the MLS. He has scored 6 goals in 24 games for the club. Napoli play maker Marek Hamsik was Slovakia's main man at Euro 2016. For England a win would keep them comfortably in 1st place. For Slovakia a lose or draw would keep them in 2nd place, however a win will put them in 1st place.

 Africa

In the African qualifiers, there are 5 groups of four teams. The 1st place teams in each group qualify directly to the World Cup.  The remaining team cannot qualify for the World Cup.

Group B: Cameroon vs Nigeria
20:00 CET (+3) - 18:00 local time,  Stade Omnisport, Yaounde

Cameroon will take on the Super Eagles in what is a must win situation for Cameroon. As Cameroon lost to Nigeria 4-0, Cameroon are in 3rd place and seven points behind 1st place Cameroon. Although Cameroon is typically good in defence, the 4-0 loss to the Super Eagles raises some questions. Cameroon have Marseille midfielder Andre Auguissa who just started to play for Cameroon as he is trying to make a name for himself in Ligue 1. Porto FC forward Vincent Aboubakar will need to step up for Cameroon, as he has scored 4 goals in 4 games in Liga NOS.

For the Super Eagles, Victor Moses will lead the way in terms of experience. He has scored 3 goals in two games for the Super Eagles and is ready to make a further impact in Group B. In my opinion the players to watch are Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City and Alex Iwobi. The new Leicester City striker Kelechi Ihenacho will be a key player for the Super Eagles as he has scored two goals in five games and is looking to add that number today. A win for the Super Eagles could already send them to Russia. A win for Cameroon would give them a fighting chance
