Games to watch today

Image
Here are the games I recommend to watch today. Enjoy :) Chelsea vs Manchester City Saturday: 19:30 CET (+3) - 17:30 local time, Stamford Bridge, London            The Blues from West London will take on Manchester City in a top of the table clash. Chelsea have been on fire in the Champions League with a crucial 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid away on Wednesday.            At the back Chelsea have Marcos Alonso who has contributed to many goals for the Blues and even has two goals in the Premier League. A key player for the Blues is French international N'Golo Kante who does the dirty work for Chelsea, and wins most of tackles. Another player to watch is former Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko who has a similar playing style to Yaya Toure, has a 84% pass accuracy rate. And the player that has been in the headlines is striker Alvaro Morata from Spain. Despite having a bad start with the Blues this season, he has bounced back and scored 6 goals in the Premier Leagu

Latvijas Kauss (Latvian Cup) Semi Finals The winner of the Latvijas Kauss will compete in the UEFA Europa League 1st Qualifying Round. In the Virsliga (Latvian League), 1st place plays in the UEFA Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round. 2nd and 3rd place teams play in the  Europa League 1st Qualifying Round. If the winner of the Latvijas Kauss finishes 1st-3rd in the Virsliga, the 4th place team in the Virsliga competes in the  Europa League 1st Qualifying Round. FK Liepāja/Mogo vs RFS            FK Liepāja reach the Latvijas Kauss final for the first time in their history with a 4-1 win over Rigas Futbols Skola (RFS). This is a big game for both teams as they have never competed in the final, and RFS have never been in the Europa League.            FK Liepāja are the first to attack as Giorgi Eristavi's free kick in the 21st minute goes just wide. In the 27th minute, FK Liepāja get their first goal as defender Seydina Keita from Senegal who was unmarked strikes it i

Saturday and Sunday's WC Qualifier Reviews

Europe In the European qualifiers, there are 9 groups of six teams. 1st place in each group qualifies directly to the World Cup. 2nd place teams enter a playoff round against each other. The rest cannot qualify. Group G: Spain vs Italy            Spain came on top by winning an impressive 3-0 against Italy. As Italy are playing a 4-4-2 formation, a draw against Spain could be good enough to take the top spot in Group G.            However it doesn't go as planned for the Azzurri (blues), as Isco scores a stunning free kick in the 13th minute after AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci gets a foul in the edge of the penalty box. This forces Italy to play attacking football, despite the attack being Italy's weak spot. In the 22nd minute, Matteo Darmian gives a cross to Torino FC forward Andrea Belotti, however David de Gea makes a fantastic save to keep Spain in the lead. Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has kept Italy from scoring in multiple occasions. Isco scores

The top two teams from each group automatically qualify for the World Cup,  the 3rd place teams from Group A and B have a play-off match against each other. The remaining teams can't qualify for the World Cup.  Group B:  Japan vs Australia           Japan become the 2nd team from Asia to qualify for the World Cup in Russia as they over come Australia 2-0. The Socceroos needed a win to get 2nd place in the group and in the first 30 minutes were dominating the game with 65% ball possession. Australia couldn't find the net, however Japan did. In the 41th minute Stuttgart forward Takuma Asano was left unmarked with only him and the keeper and scored a simple but crucial goal.           In the 2nd half Japan take control of the game and force the Socceroos to play sloppy football. Harry Kane is a great player if he uses his full potential.  Slovakia have

Group B: Nigeria vs Cameroon 19:00 CET (+3) - 17:00 local time, Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo We start off with the Super Eagles, ready to take on the 2017 African Cup of Nations Champions Cameroon. Nigeria may have the upper hand in Group B, the have failed to qualify to the last two African Cup of Nations competitions. However the Super Eagles have a huge future as they have a lot of young players playing in football's top leagues. The players to look out for are Wilfred Ndidi who creates opportunities, Aresenal forward Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Ihenacho. These players helped Nigeria defeat Zambia 2-1 and Algeria 3-1. Cameroon d
